115kV digital substation in Nongki, Thailand ——The 1st full functional IEC 61850 digital substation in Thailand

he previous relay protection and automation system of Nongki substation put into operation in 2000, and extend an 115kV line in 2010. After a long time operated, there are some problems that customers always facing to.

After evaluated seriously, Thailand Provincial Electric Authority (PEA) decide to renovation Nongki substation with co-operation of CYG SUNRI and TC Renewable. The scope of CYG SUNRI: site survey, solution design, production-supply, as-built drawing, transportation, guide of installation, commissioning, training, after-sales service. As the 1st full functional IEC 61850 digital substation, it successfully pushes the application of digital substation in Thailand.
