As a part of the SAS, it works as a station communication manager, which collects, stores and maps signals of relays, measurement units, control units and other IEDs in the substation to higher-level systems such as control center (CC) and distributed control system (DCS).
The PRS-7910 supports several protocols, such as IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-101/104, IEC 60870-5-103, Modbus and DNP3.0. Data can be transmitted to and received from analog channel, digital channel or network connected to CC, DCS or other system. The direct transmission mode and the device independent avoid any interaction or influence with the substation SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system.
Furthermore, the PRS-7910 can run as a data acquisition and logic treatment platform and provides various and flexible advanced function extensions.

Utilizes a quad-core CPU and SSD storage, with a fully enclosed steel chassis to enhance anti-interference capabilities, and supports power supply redundancy modules.

Features a built-in history database with an optional capacity of 128-256GB, supporting storage of historical SOE, reports, fault recordings, and other data types.

Multiple Protocol Support
Both server and client support standard protocols including IEC, DNP, Modbus, as well as advanced IEC 61850 and customized protocols.

Real-time Database
Compatible with IEC 61850/103 standards, supports models such as primary and secondary equipment, and enables unified data acquisition and transmission.

Reliable Transmission
Internal SOE transmission delay is less than 200ms, and the response success rate to the control center exceeds 99%.

Supports up to 1024 IEDs and 32 control centers, with a database capacity exceeding 200,000 signals.
