When PRS-721 is mainly designed for protecting "T" zone of one and a half breakers arrangement. The device comprises of circulating current Protection and feeder line end fault protection.
This relay can sample the analog values from the traditional instrument transformers, or receive the sampled values from the electronic current and voltage transformers (via a merging unit). The binary inputs and outputs of this relay can be configured according to the demands of a practical engineering through the PRS IED Studio configuration tool auxiliary software, which can meet some special requirements of protection and control functions.
This relay can fully support the IEC61850 communication protocol and GOOSE function, and can completely meet the demands of a modern digitalized substation.It provides standard functions including breaker failure, voltage, overcurrent, stub protection, broken conductor check, and auto-reclosing for busbars from 1000kV to 110kV, with dedicated circulating current and feeder line end fault protection for the "T" zone in one-and-a-half breaker arrangements.
Supports analog acquisition from traditional transformers or sampled values from electronic transformers via merging units, compatible with standards like IEC60044-8 and IEC61850-9-2.
Adopts modular hardware design. Except for core modules like PWR, CPU, and HMI, other TF and IO modules can be flexibly configured and installed in remaining slots for easy expansion.
Its interlock logic function is programmable. Through the visual logic configuration tool, the interlock logic configuration files can be modified based on actual requirements to customize remote control and blocking functions.
