Kuwait KNPC Clean Energy Project

The project, led by Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) in 2014, involved the expansion and upgrading of the Mina Al-Ahmadi (MAA) and Mina Abdullah (MAB) refineries, as well as the decommissioning of the Shuaiba (SHU) refinery, to meet the fuel transportation market demand by 2020.

The products have been operating stably for over ten years, demonstrating that our products and related technologies meet the operational requirements of environments like Kuwait. It has also laid a foundation for further expansion in the Middle East market.
Project Details

The project aimed to meet Kuwait’s fuel transportation market demand in 2020 by optimizing refinery layout and enhancing overall refining efficiency. The upgrades of MAA and MAB not only increased crude oil processing capacity but also strengthened environmental and safety standards, serving as a key initiative for KNPC’s modernization of the refining sector and laying a solid foundation for ensuring stable regional fuel supply.
