Uganda Distribution Network Dispatch SCADA System EPC Project
CYG SUNRI provided EPC general contracting services for the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) of Uganda, establishing a comprehensive SCADA system. This system enables optimized distribution network control, dispatching, and fault prediction and elimination, effectively enhancing local power supply quality, safety, and reliability.Extreme Environment Execution: Successfully overcame challenges including pandemic, malaria, and harsh transportation conditions.

Project Highlights
Overcoming extreme environmental challenges such as the pandemic, malaria, and harsh traffic conditions, the project established a full-process distribution network SCADA system. This achievement realized intelligent control and management upgrades for Uganda's distribution network, demonstrating the company's project execution capabilities under extreme overseas conditions.
Project DetailsFocusing on the upgrading requirements of Uganda's distribution network, CYG SUNRI provided full-process EPC services ranging from design, supply, transportation, civil works to installation and commissioning. The project implementation faced multiple dilemmas: remote locations and bumpy roads imposed extremely high requirements for cargo packaging; a wide variety of purchased components required strict control over suppliers, costs, and delivery times; and the severe threat of malaria superimposed by the pandemic posed serious risks to personnel health. The team effectively responded to these challenges by strengthening logistics support, optimizing supplier management, and equipping comprehensive medical protective measures, successfully completing all tasks including main control room renovation, equipment installation, and system commissioning. The established comprehensive SCADA system realized full-process control of distribution network optimization, dispatching, fault prediction, and elimination, significantly improving local power supply quality, reliability, and safety, and earning full recognition from the client.
